XAG P150 Max Agricultural Drone: Specs, Payload and US Availability
Update, 2 October 2026: XAG launched the P150 Max in the US on 4 February 2026 and describes it as FCC-approved. The dealer picture has since changed: on 27 July 2026 Raptor Dynamic ended new XAG sales and pointed XAG dealers to AirStrike. For where the P150 Max sits among the spray drones US farms can still buy under the FCC Covered List, see our agricultural drone ban guide.
The XAG P150 Max is a large agricultural drone that carries up to 176 pounds (80 kg), flies at up to 44.7 mph (20 m/s) and swaps between spraying, spreading, mapping and on-farm hauling. XAG pitches it at US farms dealing with shrinking spray windows and short labor. Everything below comes from XAG’s official specifications and statements, not independent testing, and the productivity figures in particular are manufacturer claims.

Payload, speed and acreage
XAG says the P150 Max averages 50–60 acres per hour of spraying under typical conditions, with peaks of 70–80 acres per hour. Its swarm control lets one operator run two P150 Max drones at once, which XAG says doubles productivity.
That second feature is the one I’d pay most attention to. On most farms the bottleneck is people, not airframes, and one operator running two drones goes straight at that constraint. The acreage numbers, on the other hand, are best-case figures until farmers report what they get in their own fields.
The task systems swap out in minutes, according to XAG, so one platform can cover several jobs through the season:
- RevoSpray 5 (liquids): a 21.1-gallon (80 L) smart tank and dual centrifugal nozzles delivering up to 8.45 GPM (32 LPM). An optional four-nozzle upgrade raises flow to 12.15 GPM (46 LPM), which XAG suggests for orchards and dense canopies. Droplet size adjusts from 60 to 500 microns.
- RevoCast 5 (spreading): fertilizer, cover crop seed and biological treatments at up to 661 pounds (300 kg) per minute. XAG says its vertical broadcast design reduces wind drift and keeps coverage even across wide or irregular fields.

Field history
The P150 Max builds on XAG’s P Series, which the company says has logged more than 9.3 million flight hours worldwide since 2022. XAG says the P150 Max itself was field-tested in New Zealand, Bulgaria, South Africa and Australia, on terrain with irregular boundaries and varied crops that it compares to parts of Missouri, Kentucky, Pennsylvania and the Carolinas.
Navigation, mapping and charging
The SuperX 5 Ultra control system provides centimeter-level RTK navigation. A 4D imaging radar is designed to detect obstacles such as center pivots, power poles and overhead lines.
The RealTerra mapping system surveys up to 49.4 acres (20 hectares) per flight, according to XAG, and onboard AI identifies field boundaries and obstacles, then generates flight routes for the terrain. That cuts a lot of manual mission setup.
Missions are planned in the XAG One App on a phone or on the SRC 5 Remote Controller. Where cellular coverage is weak, the XRTK 7 Mobile Station supplies RTK positioning, which is a real advantage in rural areas where coverage is patchy.
XAG says the Smart SuperCharge Battery can reach full charge in as little as seven minutes when two chargers run in parallel with a mist-cooling tower. Combined with the payload and speed, that is how XAG argues for high throughput during peak workloads.

Why XAG, and the XAG P150 Max, gained ground in the US
XAG brought the XAG P150 Max to the US in February 2026, into a market DJI could not fully supply. According to the American Spray Drone Coalition, US spray drone sales fell 59% in 2025 after US Customs held DJI shipments, and XAG and EAVision were the brands that gained most from that gap. Chinese-made drones still made up 75.75% of US spray drone sales, down from 93.52% a year earlier.
That matters if you are weighing a P150 Max now. Operators in the same survey ranked productivity first and said country of origin had little influence on what they buy, which is why XAG could move into DJI’s place. The risk is the same one DJI buyers face: the FCC’s pending military-grade proposal would cover foreign spray drones, so parts supply is worth asking about. Our breakdown of the 2025 spray drone sales survey has the full numbers.
Buying one in the US
XAG announced the P150 Max as FCC-approved and available through its authorized dealer network, which is meant to provide local support, training and parts. For spray equipment that has to work during a narrow planting or spraying window, that support network counts as much as the spec sheet, and the July dealer change above is worth checking before you buy.
Budget for more than the aircraft. The upfront cost and operator learning curve are real, and even with the app and controller handling route planning, precision application takes training and practice. For current pricing, check the official XAG website or an authorized dealer.
