DJI Neo 3 Price: What It Should Cost, and Why It Won’t Be €239 Again
DJI has not announced a price for the Neo 3, and it will not until launch day. What we can do is work out a realistic range from three things that are on the record: what the Neo and Neo 2 cost at launch, what the leaked Neo 3 box says is inside, and where DJI already prices its other small drones. Our estimate for the DJI Neo 3 price is around €269–299 for the drone alone and €449–499 for the Fly More Combo with the RC Mini controller. Every number below that is not an official DJI price is marked as an estimate.
One thing is certain already: there will be no official US price. More on that below.

What the Neo and Neo 2 cost at launch
DJI has raised the entry price of the Neo line once already. The original Neo launched in September 2024 at $199 / €199. The Neo 2, launched on 13 November 2025 with a LiDAR sensor and omnidirectional vision added, started at €239 in Europe and £209 in the UK. It was never released through DJI’s US store.
| Package | Neo (Sept 2024) | Neo 2 (Nov 2025) |
|---|---|---|
| Drone only | $199 / €199 / £169 | €239 / £209 |
| Fly More Combo, no controller | $289 (US) | €329 / £289 |
| Fly More Combo with controller | €349 / £299 (RC-N3) | €399 / £349 |
| Motion Fly More Combo | — | €579 / £509 |
That is a 20% rise for the drone-only kit in one generation, and DJI justified it with new safety hardware rather than a better camera. The Neo 2 kept the same 12 MP 1/2-inch sensor as the Neo.
DJI Neo 3 price estimate, package by package
The table below is our estimate, built from the history above and the contents of the leaked box. It is not a leak. Where another outlet has published a number, we show it for comparison.
| Package | Neo 2 launch price | Our Neo 3 estimate | TheNewCamera estimate (15 Sept) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Drone only | €239 | €269–299 | €279 |
| Fly More Combo, no controller | €329 | €349–379, if offered | €369 |
| Fly More Combo with RC Mini | €399 (with controller) | €449–499 | €469 |
| Motion / FPV combo | €579 | €599–649 | €629 |
Our ranges land close to TheNewCamera’s single figures, which were published before the camera details leaked. Since then the case for the top half of each range has got stronger, for the reasons below.
What pushes the Neo 3 price up
A much bigger sensor
The leaked retail panel lists a 1/1.1-inch square sensor, the same format as the Osmo Action 6, replacing the 1/2-inch sensor used in both earlier Neos. We cover what that means for image quality in our Neo 3 specs breakdown. For pricing, the point is simple: DJI raised the Neo 2’s price by €40 without changing the camera at all. A camera upgrade this large is unlikely to come with a smaller increase.
A screened controller in the combo
The Neo 3 Fly More Combo on the leaked box includes the DJI RC Mini, a compact remote with its own display. The Neo 2 combo used the RC-N3, which needs your phone as the screen. A controller with a built-in display costs more to make, and it is in the package that most buyers choose. That is why we put the biggest increase on the combo rather than the drone-only kit.
More weight, probably more battery
China’s drone registry lists the Neo 3 at 192.7 g, up from 151 g for the Neo 2. As we explain in our weight analysis, some of that is a built-in radio and some is likely a larger camera and battery. Bigger batteries also make spare batteries, and therefore Fly More Combos, more expensive.
What could hold it down
The Neo has always been DJI’s cheapest drone, and that is its job in the range. DJI also kept the drone-only Neo 2 under €250. If DJI wants to protect that position, the most likely compromise is a bare drone near €269 with the increase loaded onto the combos, rather than a €299 entry price.
Neo 3 vs Neo 2 vs DJI Flip: where the money goes
The sensor upgrade puts the Neo 3 into awkward territory for DJI’s own range. The 249 g DJI Flip launched in January 2025 at €439 / $439 with an RC-N3 controller, and it uses a 1/1.3-inch sensor, smaller than the one now listed for the Neo 3.
| DJI Neo 2 | DJI Neo 3 (leaked / estimated) | DJI Flip | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Entry price | €239 | €269–299 (estimate) | €439 (with RC-N3) |
| Sensor | 1/2-inch, 12 MP | 1/1.1-inch square (box panel) | 1/1.3-inch, 48 MP |
| Weight | 151 g | 192.7 g (registry) | 249 g |
| Controller in combo | RC-N3 (phone screen) | RC Mini (built-in screen) | RC-N3 or RC 2 |
| Folding | No | No (based on box images) | Yes |
| Official US sale | No | No | Yes |
If the Neo 3 arrives at the top of our range with an RC Mini combo under €500, it will offer a larger sensor than the Flip for less money. The Flip would still fold, carry a 48 MP stills mode and keep its official US availability, but the gap that justified its price would narrow. That tension is one reason we expect DJI to price the Neo 3 at the upper end rather than hold the Neo 2’s price.
Will there be a US price?
No official one. DJI was added to the FCC Covered List on 22 December 2025, and since then new DJI aircraft cannot receive the FCC equipment authorization they need to be marketed in the US. The Neo 3 aircraft has no authorization. Its RC Mini controller does, under FCC ID SS3-TKMI2507, granted three days before the cut-off, but a controller on its own does not let anyone sell the drone.
In practice that means no DJI US store listing and no authorized US retailer. Units that appear on marketplaces will be imports, typically priced well above the European figure, without US warranty support and with no guarantee about future firmware or app access. We are not lawyers, and the rules on personal imports of unauthorized radio equipment are not simple. If you are in the US, check a model’s status in our US drone ban checker before paying import prices. The Neo 2, by contrast, was authorized before the cut-off and is still sold by third-party US sellers.
Should you buy a Neo 2 now or wait?
If you are outside the US and want the best camera in a palm-sized drone, waiting a few weeks is likely worth it: the sensor change is the biggest single upgrade the Neo line has had. If price is the priority, the Neo 2 will probably get cheaper once its successor is out, and it remains a capable 4K drone. We go through that decision in more detail in our Neo 3 release date guide.
If you are in the US, the calculation is different. The Neo 2 is the newest Neo you can buy through normal channels, and that is unlikely to change.
When will the price be confirmed?
At launch. China’s drone registry lists a production date of 21 September 2026, and retail packaging is already circulating, which usually means weeks rather than months. We expect an announcement in October or November 2026. DJI often launches in China first, sometimes with Chinese pricing a few days before global prices are published. We will update this page with official prices when they appear.
Frequently asked questions
How much will the DJI Neo 3 cost?
DJI has not announced a price. Based on Neo and Neo 2 launch prices and the leaked box contents, we estimate €269–299 for the drone alone and €449–499 for the Fly More Combo with the RC Mini.
Will the Neo 3 be more expensive than the Neo 2?
Very likely. The Neo 2 rose €40 over the Neo without a camera upgrade; the Neo 3 is listed with a much larger 1/1.1-inch sensor and a screened controller in its combo.
How much will the DJI Neo 3 Fly More Combo cost?
Our estimate is €449–499 with the RC Mini controller, compared with €399 for the Neo 2 combo with a controller.
Will the Neo 3 be cheaper than the DJI Flip?
Probably. The Flip launched at €439 with a controller. Even at the top of our range, a drone-only Neo 3 would cost less, though the Flip folds and has a different feature set.
What will the DJI Neo 3 cost in the US?
There will be no official US price. The aircraft has no FCC authorization, and new DJI drones cannot get one while DJI is on the Covered List.
When will the DJI Neo 3 price be announced?
On launch day, which leaked packaging and a 21 September 2026 production date suggest will be in October or November 2026.
